Regular readers who may be wondering why we removed MyBlogLog, please read. In order to improve user/visitor experience on the PinoySpy blog, the blog editors have decided to remove the MyBlogLog visitor tracking widget for five main reasons:
1. MyBlogLog interferes with navigation. When the mouse hovers over a link, a MyBlogLog link pops up (showing popularity of link) which can be mistakenly clicked by a visitor who will then be brought to a page on MyBlogLog. While this feature is useful for the blog owner for tracking purposes, it interferes with a visitor’s navigation of the blog
2. MyBlogLog shows recent visitors and their identities on MyBlogLog. This in our opinion violates their privacy, aside from the fact that it plants another cookie on their computers.
3. The MyBlogLog widget, which shows faces of people, draws attention away from content and advertising. It did not serve its purpose of generating traffic for the blog. It in fact only generates traffic to MyBlogLog.
4. PinoySpy bloggers have no time to do social networking at this moment.
5. MyBlogLog is a good service for those wanting more traffic to their blogs and network with other blogs. The PinoySpy blog has no need for these at this moment.
