A new social networking site, Kontakan.com, has been launched in beta stage to provide Filipinos and their friends another venue to communicate or make contact, in addition to the popular Friendster and MySpace. Kontakan.com has a public chatboard and media player so visitors can chat while listening to music, and its members area has profiles, blogs, classified ads, forums, and arcade games.
The site’s catchphrase is:
Kontakin kita, kontakin mo ako. Magkontakan tayo!
Bloggers, musicians, and artists are invited to put up profiles and post events, promotional media, and start their blogs on Kontakan.com.
