Pacquiao: A college degree is more important than money and championship belts.
Don’t look now but the world’s Boxer of the Year, Manny Pacquiao, is serious in finishing his education and has taken a qualifying exam to enter the Notre Dame of Dadiangas University (NDDU) in his hometown General Santos City.
Pacquiao, fresh from a humiliating defeat in the congressional elections in the hands of incumbent congresswoman Darlene Antonino-Custodio, has been taunted in the recent campaign for his lack of higher education.
He has recently been given awarded highschool diploma by Department of Education.
Pacquiao, mocked by his country’s educated snobs for his funny English (”carabao English” they say), reportedly wants to take up a business course.

A college education for Pacquiao will provide him better opportunities after his retirement from boxing, which could be only a few years from now. A business degree will help in managing his money and investments, and avoid being manipulated by his financial advisors.

Hahaha kailan naman sya mag start, alam ko yan na school kasi taga GenSan ako. Pero badtrip na school yan kasi ang aangas ng mga babae dyan kala mo kung sinong magaganda eh pag exams ang dadaming nag-aabang sa labas dyan for prostituition ^_^

Getting a degree in this country is only good for getting laid. Hehe, I bet Manny would love that. Don’t expect to find a job after ya graduate. Pinoy companies wont hire anyone who doesn’t have a giga size of experience. I know this is not done in other countries since we got lots of OFW’s. So I don’t know why filipinos are so hard on their fellow pinoys, maybe we are cruel people and we enjoy people around us struggle miserably. Ouch, ain’t the truth hurts.
