Makati city councilor Ernesto Aspillaga, former chief of the city’s general servcices department, is now in international news for giving away bikini panties to poor women voters in West Rembo district.

So women will remember his name when they go to the voting booths, his name was printed at the bottom of the panties.

Some questions being asked by PinoySpy investigators:

• How will Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay, a known progressive politician, react to this underwear politics? Does he smell something fishy?
• Will these Ernesto Aspillaga panties finally find their way to eBay and into the hands of panty collectors?
• Did these bikini panties really come from Aspillaga’s camp? Or were they distributed by parties who are out to ruin his reputation?
• Is the ink used in printing these panties hypoallergenic and safe for women’s PH levels?

Panty collectors told PinoySpy said they are willing to buy these panties as election memorabilia, and this way, the poor women who got these panties can sell them and make money.

Earlier, PinoySpy News Service, in an exclusive report, suggested that there is an existing “panty crisis” in the Philippines after some women were caught by cameras not wearing underwear under their skirts. Prices of women’s underwear have been increasing along with the price of fuel and other basic commodities.
