The photo of Lindsay Lohan’s scary-looking appendix has been released to the media.
Lindsay Lohan’s bad appendix was replaced with that of a donor, a woman of her age who died of brain clot. She underwent surgery at the Century Park Hospital in Los Angeles on Thursday.
Lohan, 20, learned last week she was suffering from appendicitis.
Says Ms Lohan:
I was scared I might have to wait a long time for a new appendix, but luckily a young woman about my age died of a brain clot, and I was able to get her appendix, which was perfectly healthy because the brain clot hadn’t spread to it yet.
The photo of the Lohan’s appendix was released apparently to quell rumors that she went to the hospital to have an abortion or because of drug overdose and alcohol abuse.
