The nose and forehead of actress Chin Chin Gutierrez were burned when fire struck her house in Loyola Heights, Quezon City yesterday morning.
The actress also sustained bruises on her arms. Police said Chin Chin sustained her burns and injuries when she tried to save her mother, Cecilia. Both were rushed to the Medical City for emergency treatment.
Investigators said the fire broke out at 3 a.m. at the second floor of the house. Faulty electrical wiring blamed for starting the fire.
Aside from suffering a burned nose, ChinChin also lost her Honda CRV and a Mitsubishi Lancer which were destroyed in the blaze.

It’s a very unfortunate thing to happen to her. She’s a good soul, but I guess bad things happen to good people even. Wishing she’d survive this ordeal gracefully. ChinChin is a gem and brings pride to this country.
