In Tiaong, Quezon, a construction worker was sideswiped by a truck carrying relief goods from President Macapagal Arroyo to the Bicol region.
The man, identified as Celso Salvador of Barangay Lusacan, was crossing Maharlika Highway at 3 p.m. on Dec. 13 when he was hit by an Izuso Elf truck that belonged to the 200-truck “Tulong Caravan” enroute to Bicol.
Police said it was raining hard at the time of the accident. Witnesses told police Salvador was rushing to cross the road.
Salvador was brought to a local hospital for medical treatment.
