Kenneth Duremdes
Former PBA Most Valuable Player Kenneth Duremdes has been sued by his estranged wife for marrying another girl only three years after their marriage on 1993.
Duremdes, who plays for Sta. Lucia Realty in the Philippine Basketball Association, allegedly stated in his marriage contract with a certain Ma. Theresa Ibasco that he was “single” despite being married to Vanessa Cariaga-Duremdez.
Duremdes’ marriage contract with Ibasco showed they got married on Aug. 15, 1996 at the QC Regional Trial Court Branch 96.
Duremdes’ first wife, Vanessa, filed charges of falsification of public document and concubinage were filed by the cager’s estranged wife before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
Duremdez and Vanessa were married on Sept. 6, 1993 before Rev. Jesus Mesa at the Manila City Hall.
Vanessa said Duremdes married Ibasco despite the fact that he was still legally married to her.
