A British TV docudrama to be screened at the Toronto International Film Festival is causing a stir. Why? It portrays US President George Bush being assassinated after making a speech in Chicago in October 2007. Photos carried by British morning newspapers showed Bush’s head superimposed on the actor’s body that some readers thought Bush was assassinated for real — only to read that it was a scene from the docudrama “Death of a President” by UK filmmaker Gabriel Range. A British media critic said this “could convince crazy people that this might be a good idea.”
