Lets see, where do I begin this first post of mine
Hmmm.. ok lets talk about computers, specifically DVD writers. In about three weeks time, I will have my very own DVD writer. A benq DW1670. It was just released last week of april. Im not so sure about its performance yet since there have been no review on the actual product yet (just test products). I read something about lightscribe, but this model doesnt offer that. I dont really need that since I would still need lightscribe DVD to use it, and that costs a lot. I intend to buy DVD’s at a wholesale price of 13 each (retails at 35-40).
My primary use for this will be to burn movies in DVD so i can preserve the good quality. Its very frustrating at times when you have a very good quality movie in your PC and then you convert it to VCD so you can watch it while in bed fronting the TV, the quality gets so poor that you lose all excitement watching the movie.
So, in this regard, I just need a regular DVD writer. If reviews for the DW1670 arent good, I probably will go for the DW1640pro instead. Besides the only difference is that DW1670 now supports DVD-RAM media. I dont even have Dual layer media, much less DVDRAM media.
I prefer Benq since its a good brand. My Cd writer is benq, writes almost all cd’s at 52x (as compared to my old writer that couldnt write past 32x). Even my cousin who works in an IT company abroad recommends it.
Just have to wait for now and hope reviews for DW1670 come out in the next few days (so i wont have any regrets 
)
